I discovered PRD through a friend and we became more devoted once we both started coming because we were in it together and we realized what kind of contributions we could bring. The free food concept is what intrigues you at first, but it's the people that keeps you coming back! Every week, we create together and we laugh together and it's like nothing else!

We are definitely trying to branch out and reach students who are in need of food or who are passionate about food security, sustainability, vegan lifestyle, we accommodate to a lot of people.

It's a great creative outlet, we are given bruised fruits and vegetables and the outcome of it is always beyond what we expect!

Favourite food: We make tofu eggplant lettuce tacos which are amazing!

I discovered PRD through a friend of mine who brought me to their end of year potluck, and there was free food and people were playing guitar and just having a good time. I just thought, this is awesome!

I've gained a sense of community and openness from the group because we have a lot of different volunteers and community members coming in every week. There's a lot of diversity amongst the members, so everyone has different skills and we all come together to compile knowledge and cook. Food is a really big connector between people, you don't have to speak the same language or come from the same place to bond and make cool recipes!

Favourite food: At PRD, we make a really good potato leek soup and I love our fruit salads!

I first discovered the group through a potluck from the Veg club on campus since PRD had brought food to the event. I then started participating to a lot of PRD's events throughout the summer and just wanted to continue in the fall!

I think the group is great because food really brings people together and wether they're vegan, vegetarian or not, it allows people to eat different kinds of food they might've not otherwise tried. There's such a variety of different food to experiment with and I learn from others about how they cook and what spices they use.

Favourite food: We make a lot of good curries and stir-fries!

I discovered the group in my first year just walking by and seeing them deliver food in UCU and I knew it was something that I wanted to do.

PRD has provided me my food throughout university and it's been something I look forward to every week. Getting up, going to pick up fruits and veggies at Herb and Spice and building relationships with people. Just getting to spend the morning with people that I enjoy talking to and then getting to enjoy food together is incredible!

Favourite food: I love our apple crisp, it's so nice since we often get a lot of apples!

I bumped into the group once and saw the good cooking and the good people, so I joined in.

I wrote a poem that reflects how I feel about the group:

Some like it spicy and some like it sweet … We cook it all, standing on our feet … We Instagram it, Facebook it, and tweet … It is vegan food, no dairy no meat … In all clubs at campus, this one you can't beat … At PRD, we sing, dance, cook, and eat … Our members are healthy, cool, smart, and neat … They are ready to help you in a heartbeat ... Be sure to join us for a delicious treat … On a weekly basis of "Meet and Greet”.

Favourite food: There's so much good food here. I like the fruits salads, salads, stir-fry, soup, pasta, a bit of everything!

I was volunteering with Momen at St.Joe's, and he told me about this club, and since I'm vegan I had to come and check it out!

I've gained a real sense of community from the group.

Favourite food: I get really excited about brussel sprouts!

I was just walking by and I don't have very many vegan friends, so it was exciting to see the group cooking vegan food! My experience with PRD has been so great, being able to get free food is really helpful and there's so much good energy. I try to come every week to be around energetic people and colourful food!

Favourite food: Every week the food is different, but we always have really good stir-fry!

I had a bunch of friends telling me to come to PRD's events, and since they were my coolest friends I decided to come.

I mainly like the people in the group because they share common values with me and I come every week because I enjoy spending time with the group!

Favourite food: My specialty at PRD is making stuffed peppers!
